Say what you want about cryptocurrencies, at least for once they were able to become more efficient over time very quickly and more than one blockchain exists to choose from.

Not for AI, where it requires a vast amount of water and is now the center of huge amounts of waste and still no viable efficient methods exist to run the best models other than building more data centers.

There is your unsolved problem.

I still belive that the increase of thebprice for Ram, disks, gpus...is purelly manipulated by the biggest AI companies to increase the price of those companies+Nvidia. Speculations, nothing else. Talk about the shortages and the price goes up, even ifvthe shortage does not exists.
