The only real consistent thing is as each generation becomes "woke" or "enlightened" (as previous generations called it), one or more phrases will be termed offensive by the younger generation and changed to something else.
1) I don't believe that this happened, people lie/embellish stories on the internet all the time.
2) I believe people have the right to free association. I wouldn't fire someone for saying retarded, but people like forever_wario have the right to live their values.
3) Using politically controversial language in white collar working places that are traditionally woke or woke leaning is asking for trouble.
