I mean come on, Google's egress is free. They lease their dark fiber to run backbone links and telecoms. How much do they pay to egress YT?


What are you talking about? It's absolutely not free at all.

The only thing that is free is between nodes of the same zone using specifically the internal IPs.


I think they meant it's essentially free to Google, making charging so much for it especially egregious.
