Spotify was another big proponent of DynamoDB, does anybody know how that went?

I thought Spotify was 100% on Google Cloud

You only need a couple of Active Directory and Exchange servers here and there. But who's using IIS or SQL Server these days? Sharepoint also seems to be on a downturn.

IIS was always the black sheep of web hosting. Nothing has changed there.

Windows Server is used for more than just directory services and web hosting though.

What is writing if not a way to be perceived by others. Ideally not perceived as an LLM!

I saw it too and OP has likely picked up these idioms from the sheer amount of AI-assisted or generated writing out there.

I think that's a convenient post hoc justification. I could as easily say the LLM wrote it that way because that's how people actually write.

Can we get some pictures with the hinge closed?

A thick cable tangles less easily.

This has been known for decades, how many audiophiles are still buying this stuff?

Far as we know, the world has not run out of suckers.

Yes! Spotify is making a fortune streaming awful quality audio!

How could software engineers in London and Stockholm understand the effects of racial segregation on music preferences?

These services shouldn't make assumptions based on demographics, like location. Some broader examples, it shouldn't recommend US pop music to me because I live in the US or country music because I live in the south.

This not about race at all, for example just because you're white doesn't mean you'd care to listen to Afrikaans music.

Even between people with the same cultural background, music tastes can vary wildly.

I don't think the contents is AI sklop at all. It just haooens to be abiut AI.

At this point those are about the same in terms of quality.

"I spent money writing "a prompt* and this is what I learned".

"They're portable, auditable, and composable. No MCP server required. No plugin marketplace to browse. Just a folder with a SKILL.md in it." It screams lazy ai slop copy-paste. Now when I see this kind of obvious llm tell, I can't help but feel betrayed for investing time in giving it a shot in the first place.

How big an issue was that really? Pick it up and put it back together and it turns on again.

The UK banned disposable vapes, the suppliers now add a charging port and the ability to put in refills. The refills cost as much or more than the vapes so now people throw away the "reusable" vapes as if they were disposable.

Unintentional consequences. I expect there will be some from this law as well.
