A blog post about why Startups turn into Companies turn into Startups. Playing on some observations on why so many startups that turn into company lose their rank.

Interesting idea.

What if I order two shirts in consecutive order? Am I not myself?

This question is one for the ages my dear friend.

Do you use a printing and shipping API? Has anyone bought one?

While I am excited to embark on this new path, I am quite frustrated as to why I can't get a download of all my conversations and photos, that mostly were solely on Facebook because that seemed like the most reliable hoster.

I can imagine, keep in mind that no other place than your own equipment is safe enough to keep your private life. Even your own equipment isn't safe enough to go without proper backup.

2 important things you should consider in this day and age: 1. It does not matter if you pay for services or not, you are always considered product instead of customer and your stuff is only interesting for them when there is monetary gain. 2. Everybody in any company is only there for a finite time, this makes people not care about what happens when they move on.

Conclusion, no company or service offerer is ever fit to take care after your stuff, only you are, online or offline.

Where do people get these .io names? Are they really $50+ a year?

http://nic.io

And yes, those domains are pretty expensive.

I used GoSquared(.com) to see where all of you guys are viewing from. It's really interesting: http://cl.ly/image/323G26341W3e

Thanks for mentioning GoSquared. I've been looking for something like that.

Hey everyone,

Thank you guys so much for the feedback. I didn't know if I should be making the blog more techy about my experiences as a programming at 17. Or my high school/startup experiences. Any ideas?

@benjlang I did change my twitter name. I wasn't really expecting anyone to follow me, but I guess now would be the best time to change my name. It is @Spshulem (It was recently Shuby_Doo, my nickname), feel free to follow :).

@andrewcooke I will be crediting the photos and doing that, I simply forgot when writing this post, thank you for telling me.

Any ideas on fixing the loading of the site for you guys? Or is it working again? It seems to load fine for me now.

Good luck man... Honestly.

Seem very similar to Mail Pilot (www.mail-pilot.com), although Mail Pilot seems that it will still be a monthly paid service, as .Mail app doesn't (at least I couldn't find if it is).

Which is a big deal for me. As for .Mail seems like you pay for the app such as Sparrow (which it looks similar too) and not have to pay monthly for it.

I plan on buying it if it comes out as it shows and does what it does.

Anyone know when it is coming out? And if it will have a monthly cost?

And or iPhone app? (Sparrow + Mail Pilot (or .Mail)) Would be my dream iPhone mail app.

Looks like Mail Pilot will have apps for Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android.

I am in the beta and it looks pretty heavily Java. Which I personally don't like as much as Sparrow being a native app in all OS's... I feel like the Desktop apps are going to be Adobe Air, or some web Java app as it is now.
